There will always be something special about capturing a proposal.

And Scott and Lauren’s proposal story really speaks to my soul. When Scott reached out to me with the plan to propose to Lauren there was an elaborate “Tourist in our Hometown” day planned. They were gonna see all of the beauty of Detroit before ending up on Belle Isle where I would inconspicuously be hiding. He would pop the question, she would say yes. #BestDayEver

Well… they show up and Scott gets down on one knee (see below). I get some amazing shots with the Detroit Skyline and then rush over to congratulate them and ask them how their day went. What I expected was, “It was amazing. We saw so much and it’s amazing how much rich history is in Detroit.” What I got was, “We decided to sleep in and then Scott came up with a lie to get me to come to Belle Isle.”

In my opinion, one of those makes a better story than the other!
