It seems like rain is constantly in the forecast for Detroit. A stormy morning and a few light showers as we started Emma’s senior photos were enough to get anyone discouraged, but not Emma! I typically don’t have a problem with rain. My gear is weatherproof and so far I haven’t melted from water. I do worry about anyone who took time to do their hair and make-up or picked out a special outfit for their session. Luckily, we were able to hide under the Z-lot on the Belt and by the time we finished there wasn’t a rain drop around! We wandered around the top of the Z-lot, taking in the beautiful Detroit skyline. We wandered down Woodward trying to find an E-Scooter cause who doesn’t love a good action shot? We even ended up across the street from Comerica Park where, to our best guess based on the few people with Tigers hats and disappointed looks on their faces, there was a Tigers game going on. We hung out by the train station and took in the beauty of the old cobblestone, graffiti murals, and the state of decay of some of the old bridges.
Emma’s session was special because she is the first ever Senior Ambassador for Nicholas McIntosh Photography! As part of the Livonia Stevenson High School Class of 2020, Emma has been tasked with spreading the word about our senior portrait sessions and the unique experience that comes with getting senior photos taken. We have a few more things planned so keep an eye out for more of Emma!
If you know someone in the graduating class of 2021 who is interested in being a Senior Ambassador for us, send them this link so they can use the form at the bottom to get in touch with us!
